How is using Your Parttime Workforce different from placing a job advertisement?
Your Parttime Workforce enables you to search a database (the Talent Pool) to find that perfect part time employee. You do not need to answer telephone queries or print and sort through resumes, both of which can be time consuming.
I’ve always had recruitment agencies search their database for me, so why change?
Using a recruitment agency is usually an expensive exercise involving a large placement fee (refer to our cost comparison). Your Parttime Workforce offers a more cost effective candidate selection process and you are not limited to the three or four candidates an agency typically provides. Our Advanced Search enables you to highlight the most suitable candidates and quickly view the broad selection of potential employees available.
What is an Advanced Search?
Your Parttime Workforce’s sophisticated Advanced Search enables you to identify many specific criteria. You can use this to highlight only those candidates in the database who meet your essential requirements.
Why use a more generic search?
A generic search enables you to look at a broad range of candidates to give you a feel for who is available in the market. A classified advertisement will not enable you to do that.
Can I advertise positions I have available on the site?
Yes you can post your jobs on our site. When you are looking to find an employee it may help to use more than one strategy. Purchase the job posting product that most suits you from our price listing. You must be register as an employer to purchase job posting. Registration is free.
Who will see my job posting?
Anyone visiting the site will see your job posting when searching for jobs in your business postcode. Candidates have additional search functionality and will also see your job posting. As most candidates using this site are looking for part time work you are focusing on your target market.
Have candidates been through a screening process?
Your Parttime Workforce provides you with an introduction to part time candidates but we do not meet or screen any candidates. Each employer is responsible for screening candidates and you may like to visit our Employer Resources section for suggestions on screening.
Do you guarantee I will find the right employee?
Your Parttime Workforce provides you with access to our database and while there may be a number of candidates to choose from, we provide no guarantee you will find the right employee. We do, of course hope that this is the case, and the tools and information provided on this site are designed to assist you with the selection and recruitment process.
Will everyone I contact respond?
In a perfect world you would hope each candidate contacted would have the courtesy to respond, but in today’s fast-paced world when people tend to be time poor this may not be the case. We suggest you contact a number of candidates and allow around five days for responses. Some candidates may respond immediately. If you are looking for a quick turnaround you may like to SMS directly to the candidate’s mobile phone.
How many candidates should I contact?
This can vary widely depending on the type of position you are looking to fill. You may like to contact five to ten candidates and allow five to seven days for their response. While you may receive return emails from each candidate you should not be surprised with a 50 per cent response rate. You may be lucky and get 100 per cent.
Can I contact candidates and keep my details confidential?
You can contact candidates anonymously by email to maintain your confidentiality. It is your choice as to when you disclose your contact details to a candidate. Your Parttime Workforce reminds you to be cautious when disclosing your contact details as you are communicating with people you do not know and have not met.
Can I only source one employee from the site when I join?
Absolutely not - you can source as many employees as you like while your Talent Pool membership is current.
Do I have to pay any additional fees when I source a candidate?
No. You pay one membership fee and there are no additional fees when you source a candidate.
How current is the information included in each candidate’s profile?
New candidates join the site all the time and existing candidates are encouraged to keep their details as current as possible. Each profile shows the date it was last updated but this does not mean profiles that have been on the site for longer are not current. Candidates are responsible for keeping their profile information current and are instructed to so do when they join the site.
I have a number of business locations. Can I search for all of these or only one?
Your search is based on the place of business postcode you enter each time. You can enter different postcodes for different searches to cover different locations.
What is Looking for a New Career Direction?
When posting a Profile under the most appropriate category and subcategory, candidates can also choose to be included in this additional search function. This is an excellent opportunity to source candidates for positions that require no previous experience or who you will provide necessary training for. You will find this on the advanced search page. By entering a postcode and checking the Looking for a New Career Direction box, you will be able to see every Candidate in a category who is looking for a new career direction.
