Why should I register my details with Your Parttime Workforce?
By joining Your Parttime Workforce you are profiling your skills and experience for prospective employers and possibly giving an employer a choice they had not considered before. All employers who come to this site are looking for part time employees. Your profile is not mixed in with other people looking for full time work.
How is this different from just searching for jobs online?
Your Parttime Workforce is a way of letting people know you are looking for work. It is a little like registering with every recruitment and employment agency you know. However, you get to write your profile and employers search based on their needs. You are not relying on someone else to put you forward to a potential employer. You are in control. You may also choose to search job advertisements online or in the newspaper. We see this as very different to posting your profile on Your Parttime Workforce.
How much does it cost for Search for jobs or create an online profile ?
Searching for Jobs and Posting your Profile are both completely free.
Do I have to create and online Profile to Apply for a Job?
You do not have to create and online profile to apply for any jobs on the site. We suggest that it is a great idea as employers may choose not advertise their jobs and source their candidates directly from the Talent Pool. We reccomend our Quick SIgn up so you can log straight in and apply for jobs if you choose not to create your profile right away.
Can I atttach my Resume to Job Applications?
Absolutely. when you login you can "load up " your resume to your members home. You can then attached it by checking the attached my resume box with any job applications you make quickly and easily and it is stored for next time, so no need to search for it every time you want to apply for a job.
Can I search for part time jobs?
Employers are able to use the job posting function to advertise positions they have available and you can conduct a full search of these positions, which are always part time. You can refine your search to show only job postings for locations you are happy to travel to. The Job Search function gives you the option to sort the jobs listed in order of distance to your chosen postcode. This is an option not readily available on other online job postings or in job advertisements in the newspaper.
Is Your Parttime Workforce only for part time work?
Employers who register are all looking to fill positions that require less than 40 hours work a week.The structure of the hours may vary. Some candidates may be working part time and looking for a few more days or hours each week. Others may want to work for a number of different employers or may be looking at going back into the workforce part time. Candidates may also be looking to move from full time work to part time work. Your Parttime Workforce caters for many different types of part time employment arrangements.
How does the information in my Profile help employers?
Employers get an enormous amount of information from your profile. With visibility as to the days and times you are willing/able to work as well as your salary expectations, a great deal of the hard work is already done. They have short-listed you because they are happy to accept the hours you can manage and the salary you have highlighted.
Why should I create an online Profile information ?
This information is designed to help you find a great employer. It typically does not take long to complete and by including all the requested information you increase the chances of finding that perfect part time job.
Can I look for work in a different state?
If you are moving interstate or even moving house you can look for work before you go by entering the post code of your new address.
Can you review my profile and provide comments and suggestions?
Your profile is your message to employers. Your Parttime Workforce does not provide comments or suggestions on candidates’ profiles but you may like to visit the Candidate Resources, which includes suggestions for writing a great profile.
Do you check my Profile and make amendments?
Employers see what you include in your profile word for word. We do not make changes to profiles. Should they contain information that breaches our terms and conditions they will be removed and you will be notified.
Can I change the details I have included on my Profile?
You can log on and amend your details at any time.
If my availability changes can I amend this on my Profile?
You can log on and amend your profile including your availability. We encourage you to keep all of your details as current as possible so you are reaching employers who best suit your requirements.
What is Looking for a New Career Direction?
When posting a Profile under the most appropriate category and subcategory, you can also choose to be included in this additional search function when you are registering with us. Employers can use information to source candidates for positions that require no previous experience or who they will provide necessary training for. Looking for a new career direction is an excellent opportunity for you to find a new career challenge and for employers to find staff for positions that require no previous experience in their industry who they will provide training too.
What do I do when I don’t see a category or subcategory that I think I fit into?
We are constantly looking at categories and further streamlining these, there is an ‘other’ category that you can register under, but please feel free to contact us and give us your feedback on other categories/subcategories.
